Generally, the well designed International Applications are supposed to have a same code base that works irrespective of language we choose and that very fact makes Developers and Management complacent. There can even be Security issues that can be different from language to language.

I think you have shared a great Success story, proves that fruits of success lies if one is determined to go beyond the comfort zone, think beyond the obvious.

Congratulations Manoj!Anuj Magazinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12007419487924715310noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21132099.post-85726592042069964622011-02-21T15:15:32.693+05:302011-02-21T15:15:32.693+05:30Hi Manoj,

See what I wrote in HCL's blog - http://tmpe.hclblogs.com/?p=376

Thank you Pradeep for this sharing this story. I believe India will produce many more Manojs in future.Ajoy Kumar Singhahttp://testingcircus.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21132099.post-42550144867801532372011-02-20T12:09:14.524+05:302011-02-20T12:09:14.524+05:30For reusing any piece of code the following main f...For reusing any piece of code the following main factors have to be considered

1) Does reusing the code meet your company defined standard?

2) Is there any new tool or language in market that has made rewriting the code and maintaining it more cheaper that your re-usable code.

3) Has the industry you are catering to defined new standards if so does your reusable code meet the new standard.

4) Does your re-usable code meet all the rules and regulation of the location in which it will be used?

Looks like some one in top mngt did not consider these factors before making a decision.
