Sadly, many of the test tools I use (most of them commercial tools) require as much time testing and working around bugs in the tools as we spend using the test tools to test the systems that the tools are intended to help us test.

There is one tool we use daily that has had a bug for several years that occasionally results in the tool running at 1/20th to 1/10th its normal speed. According to the vendor, my team is the only one complaining and therefore the bug is not worth fixing. I am amazed by the thought that my team is the only one that has noticed such a bug in a tool with thousands of users. I encourage everyone to report tool bugs to the vendors. Maybe if enough testers starting reporting problems with test tools, the vendors will respond.Ben Simohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11448600123169359955noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21132099.post-1141740850366973092006-03-07T19:44:00.000+05:302006-03-07T19:44:00.000+05:30That's a rocking research , Now I need to tell thi...That's a rocking research , Now I need to tell this to my manager :DAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
